Leana Lee Whalen Profile PhotoA Celebration of Life Service for Leana Whalen, 79 of Corinth, MS, will be Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home – East with interment to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Bro. John Bray will officiate the service. Visitation will be Monday, September 9, 2024 from 5:00 P M to 8:00 P M and Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 1:00 P M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East. Mrs. Whalen passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Magnolia regional Health Center. She was born on May 31, 1945 in San Mateo, California to Charles Fansher and Frasia Foresto Fancher. She was a retired Casino Manager and of the Catholic faith. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, her world revolved around her children and grandchildren. She was a huge supporter of their activities at TCHS. She never missed a game. She enjoyed going to yard sales, having coffee with her friends and spending time with her family. Leana is survived son, Jason Rosier; her daughter, Stacy Gammel; five grandchildren, Mariah Vanderwal, Jason Jenkins, Chantel Bennett, Virginia Rosier and Nevaeh Thompson; one, great grandchild, Khalan Deangelo Crump-Mayes; her sister, Sue Giaccone (Ray); her best firend, Linda Stewart Robbins; other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Glenda Jenkins; her father, Chuck Fansher; her mother Frasia Southworth; her brothers, Charles Fansher, Ronnie Fansher and George Fansher. Pallbearers will be Jason Jenkins, Talan Puckett, Parker Stacy, Brandon Valdez, Gavin Jones, Alexis Valdez, Riley Grissom and Quonne Crump-Mayes. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Leana Whalen.
