Lawrence Whitehorn, age 88, of Muscle Shoals, Ala., passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015. Visitation will be Monday, July 27, 2015 from 2-3 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel, with service to follow at 3 p.m. in the Colbert Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Lawrence was a WWII Veteran, serving four years in the 1st Marine Division and participating in the occupation of China 1946-1947. He was retired from Exide Batteries.
Preceded in death by his wife, Joy Whitehorn; parents, Henry Burton and Ida Mae Whitehorn; four brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors are daughters, Donna Gail and Susan Lynn; grandchildren, Dawn, Shelley, Dori, John and Jason; great grandchildren, Tyler, Dezmond, Keasa, Kennidie, Erica, Noah and Princess; beloved Whitehorn nieces and nephews.
