Lawrence Phillip Dale

  Lawrence Phillip Dale of Trenton, TN, formerly of Canton, GA, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at the age of 75. Born on March 30, 1946, in Athens, Georgia, he was the son of the late Hoyt and Mildred (Cagle) Dale. Larry graduated from Norcross High School in 1964; he continued his education at Dekalb Tech. He worked for Western Electric/Nokia in the Engineering/Sales Department, remaining there for thirty-five years until he retired in 2001.

In 1966, he met Georgie Myers through mutual friends and married enjoying 55 wonderful years together. Larry and Georgie have two children, Matthew Phillip (Teresa) Dale and Leo Beth Ann (David) Horton and one grandson, Joshua Michael Horton. Larry with his wife were always involved with their kid’s activities, especially coaching recreational baseball and football.

In 2001, Larry retired and spent his time travelling with his wife Georgie, riding his Harley, playing golf, cheering the Dawgs, searching for the best BBQ restaurants in the Southeast and spending time with his family.

Larry was predeceased by his brother, Randy Dale. He is survived and cherished by his wife, Georgie, son Matthew (Teresa) Dale, of Bloomington, MN, daughter Leo Beth (David) Horton, of Trenton, TN, grandson, Joshua Horton, of Lynchburg, VA, brother Billy Dale, of Alpharetta, GA, sisters Barbara Rainey, of Lawrenceville, GA, and Debby Dale, of Georgia as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Heritage Fellowship Church in Canton, GA on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 11 AM. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to: Heritage Fellowship Church 3615 Reinhardt College Parkway Canton, GA 30114
