Lawrence Melvin Ballentine, age 83, of Huntsville, passed away on Monday March 24, 2014.
Mr. Ballentine is preceded in death by his parents, John Herman and Ann Pittman Ballentine; his brother, Paul Ballentine; and his sister, Shirley Palmer.
Mr. Ballentine is survived by his wife, Elaine Ballentine; his children, Amanda Minor and Alan Ballentine; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral services will be on Thursday March 27, 2014 at 10 am in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville with Dr. Michael Cassity officiating. Burial will follow at 2 pm in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery in Albertville, AL. The family will receive friends on Wednesday March 26th from 5 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.
