Lawrence “Larry” Henderson Howell Jr, age 71 of LaVergne, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 13, 1954, in Nashville. Before his retirement, Lawrence was employed as a mechanic at Penske. An avid outdoorsman, in his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his beloved dog, Coco Butter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shelia Howell; and daughter, Brandy Howell. Lawrence is survived by his loving children, Chuck (Patti) Howell of LaVergne, and Patricia (Kevin) Compton of Antioch; grandchildren, Branden Jones, Emily Howell, and Caleb Compton; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Charles (Cheri) Howell and Debbie Howell; and nephew, Jonathon Eller.
