Lawerence Williams obituary, Decatur, ALLawrence (Larry) Charles Williams, age 75, was called to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 17,2024. He passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family after a two and a half year battle with pancreatic cancer. Larry was a graduate of Rogers High School (Wyoming, MI) and Central Michigan University. He was an alumni of the Zeta Rho chapter of Sigma Chi Fraternity. Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army while stationed in Vietnam and Washington D.C. He was a proud member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4190 and served in several positions to honor his fellow service members.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents (Richard and June Williams), his nephew (Bradley DeRuiter), He is survived by his wife, Sandee Williams, two children Jenniffer McCoy (Joshua) and Jason Williams (Amber); grandchildren Aislinn Cain and Lawerence (Lawson Williams). He is additionally survived by his sisters Sue Williams, Renee Lyman, Chris Lauritzen (Dave), Diane DeRuiter (Brian); brother in law Paul Thomas and many nieces and nephews.

Larry was an anatomical donor to UAB medical school. His celebration of life service will be held November 3rd, 2024 at Wesley Methodist Church at 2pm with a reception to follow at VFW post 4190 in Decatur, AL.

In Lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to VFW Post 4190 and/or Russell Hill Cancer Foundation in Huntsville, AL.
