Lawrence E Cable transitioned from this life November 30, 2020.
He was a loving husband and devoted father. Born in Danville VA on October 25, 1930, Lawrence was raised in Greensboro, NC; he married D. Jane Coble in 1953 and often said, throughout his life, that she was the best thing that ever happened to him. As a Kraft Foods salesman and then executive (EVP Food Service), he took the family to Norfolk VA, Dallas TX, New Orleans LA, Atlanta GA, Chicago IL and Charlotte NC, retiring in Spring Hill FL for 10 years before settling in Huntsville AL. Lawrence was an avid and excellent golfer; he and Jane made friends easily and kept in touch with numerous former neighbors and church members from all their previous homes until he developed dementia over the past 7 years. He is missed by neighbors in the Mt Carmel subdivision and at Epworth United Methodist Church, among many others.
Lawrence was preceded in death by Jane, his wife of 66 years and is survived by two sons, Richard in Huntsville AL and David in Roswell GA and his twin brother Robert in Greensboro NC.
Lawrence and Jane have both been cremated and remains will be scattered at a later date in Maine, where they spent many glorious summers with good friends.
