Mr. Lawrence Alva Sanders, age 73, of Union Grove, AL passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022
at Marshall Medical Center North.
Mr. Sanders was born on February 26, 1948 in Madison County, Alabama to Robert M. Sanders and Sara
Moore Sanders. Mr. Sanders worked for BellSouth as a switching technician. He was a member of Pine
Ridge Baptist Church, he loved his family and grandchildren, loved traveling, kayaking, and skiing. He
had a passion for bluegrass music playing his harmonica.
Mr. Sanders leaves behind his wife of 53 years, Linda Faye Reed Sanders; Son: Leslie Sanders (Helen),
Grandchildren: Dustin Sanders (Carrie-Ann) and Tori Mechelle Sanders, Great Grandchildren: Alaina
Sanders, Ava Sanders and Katie Mechelle Sanders, Brother: Donald Sanders
Preceded in Death by his parents: Robert Mash and Sara Moore Sanders, Daughter: Lorie Mechelle
Sanders and Brother: Robert Earl Sanders.
A visitation will be held at Brindlee Mountain Chapel, Morgan City on Friday, January 28, 2022 from
12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Brindlee Mtn. Chapel, Morgan
City with Bro. Kenneth Smith Officiating, burial to follow at Mtn. View Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Chris Pearl, Leslie Sanders, Dustin Sanders, David Sanders, Bob Fogg and Michael Williams.
