Mrs. Lavine Lovette Hardin, age 87 of Pinson, formerly of Attalla passed away February 23, 2024. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Collier-Butler Funeral Chapel with visitation preceding the service from 1pm until 2 pm.
Mrs. Hardin was a native of Mississippi. She graduated from William Cary University receiving her Bachelor’s Degree and later later graduated from Jacksonville State University receiving her Master’s Degree in education.
Mrs. Hardin was a member of Siberton Baptist Church and taught 6th, 7th and 8th grade science, and social studies at Etowah Middle School.
Preceding her in death was he parents, James Jackson “Cleve” Lovette and Elma Bullock Lovette; husband, O. C. Hardin, son, Christopher “Heath” Hardin; sisters, Audrey Faye Lovette Baughman and Lela Voncille Lovette Walters and brother, James Franklin “Frank” Lovette.
Survivors include her son, Cary (Melissa) Hardin, granddaughter Olivia Catherine Hardin; sister, Ella Wease Lovette Gates; brother, Pat Garland “Betty” Lovette and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Etowah County Humane Society.
She had such a great inpact on her granddaughter, Olivia. She will miss her beyond measure.
