Funeral service for Mrs. Laverta Batts Brooks will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 28, 2014 at First Missionary Baptist Church (3509 Blue Spring Road, Huntsville, Alabama 35810) with Dr. Julius R. Scruggs officiating. Interment will be in Northside Cemetery. Mrs. Brooks will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.Public viewing will be 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2014; and 8:30 a.m. until 9:15 a.m. Thursday, August 28, 2014.
