Mrs. Laverne Lindsey, 78, of Florence, passed away after an extended illness on Thursday, November 14, 2013.
Mrs. Lindsey spent her life as a caregiver to several local families, providing weeks and sometimes years of loving care and attention to homebound patients. She was preceded in death by her husband, Quinnon Lindsey. .
The visitation will be Thursday beginning at 12:30 p.m.at Elkins Funeral Home, Florence. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Wayne Gean and Ellis Coats officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Lindsey is survived by her sons W.L. Lindsey of Florence, and Wayne Lindsey and wife Jewel of Florida, two grandchildren Kristen and Kelsey Lindsey of Florence, and nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Steve McCullough, Wayne Patterson, Chance Cromwell, Joel Norton, Mike Walker, and Nathan Hendrix..
Elkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
