Laurie Loveless, 54, of Rienzi, MS passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at NMMC – Tupelo. She was born in Waukegan, IL on April 8, 1970 to Steve and Gwen Hales Woodard and was a caregiver for extended family. A graduate of Biggersville High School, class of 1988, Laurie embraced life with a vibrant spirit and a creativity that shone through in everything she did. She had a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures in life. She enjoyed spending time at the Tennessee River, where many memories were made amidst the beauty of nature. Her hobbies included crafting and gardening, activities through which she cultivated not only beautiful things but also connections with those around her. She had an eye for creativity and often infused her surroundings with touches of her personal style, finding joy in all things sparkly and the elegance of the color black, which she lovingly noted would complement anything. Laurie’s warmth and kindness were intrinsic to her personality. She had a unique ability to make others feel valued and loved, leaving an indelible impression on everyone she met. Her memory will live on in the hearts of family and friends, who will always remember her as a source of light and inspiration. Magnolia Funeral Home – East is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 pm Tuesday, September 24, 2024 and from 12 pm till service time Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Magnolia Funeral Home East. A Celebration of Laurie’s life will be at 2 pm Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel officiated by Bro. Rex Bullard and Bro. Tracy Stafford . Interment will follow in Vanderford Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jake McCoy, Ryan Woodard, Ty Clark, Maddox Woodard, and Brooks Woodard. Those left to honor Laurie ’s memory include her children, Katie Kerr (Cody), Phillip Matthew Loveless (Savannah), and Samuel Loveless (Arlie); her grandchildren, Caiden Kerr, Carson Kerr, Kellan Kerr, Eloise Loveless, and a granddaughter on the way; her parents, Steve and Gwen Hale Woodard; her brothers, Robbie Woodard (Jenny) and Jesse Woodard (Kimberly), her sisters, Vera Clark and Amy McCoy (Scott); the father of her children, Phillip Loveless; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Jack and Louise Mae Woodard; and her maternal grandparents, David and Vera Hales.
