Laura S. Hodges, 98, of Huntsville, passed away Tuesday. Mrs. Hodges was a member of Union Primitive Baptist Church. She had a daycare in her home for 30 years, and was a great cook. Mrs. Hodges was preceded in death by her husband, Mailon Hodges and grandson, Jason Maynard.
Survivors include son, Edwin L. Hodges and wife, Edith, of Decatur; grandchildren, Jean and Allan Maynard of Nashville, TN, Edwina and Harwell Gregg of Somerville, Mark and Robin Hodges of Madison, and Jeff and Karen Hodges of Florence; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren
Visitation will be from 4 to 5 p.m. Friday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will immediately follow in the chapel with Elders Darrell Chambers and Gene Thomas officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Union Cemetery in Woodville.
