Laura Magelene Kuykendall, 95, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2023 at Generations of Red Bay. She was born in Franklin County, AL and worked as a seamstress for forty years.
Services will be Wednesday, October 4, 1 p.m. at Cedar Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Roger Martin officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery, Red Bay, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by four children – Joan Isbell (Gib), Tom Kuykendall(Kate), Joseph Kuykendall and Jimmy Kuykendall; six grandchildren – Candace Morphis, Kim Raper, Rodney and Benny Kuykendall, Matthew Kuykendall and Timothy Kuykendall; several great-grandchildren; three sisters – Betty Hacker, Jenny Strickland and Joann Ragsdale and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband,Willard Kuykendall, a son, Kenneth Kuykendall, two grandchildren, Suzanne Kuykendall and Donald Kuykendall, her parents, Aubrey and Muriel Strickland and two sisters, Edith Black and Geneva Turner.
Pallbearers will be Braden Pardue, Lee Morphis, Rodney Kuykendall, Benny Kuykendall, Danny Hacker and Timothy Kuykendall.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 4, 10-12 at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
