Laura Lynn Fiscus Mattson, age 61 of Springfield passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021 at her residence. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6pm, Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Austin & Bell Funeral Home Springfield with Pastor Lynn Hinkle officiating. The family will receive friends 4pm until time of service at the funeral home on Thursday.
She was born in South Sioux City, IA on August 12, 1960 to the late Robert Leroy Fiscus and Dorothy Margaret Sutter Fiscus. She was also preceded in death by daughter, Ashley Mason and mother-in-law, Heidi Mattson.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and love the Lord and her family very much. He family loved her very much as well. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and gardening, cooking, animals and caring for other people. She was known for her bubbly personality, making people laugh and lighting up a room when she entered.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Scott Mattson; mother; Dorothy Margaret Lux of Neb., son, Dylan (Tori) Fiscus of Greenbrier; daughters, Jenna Searcy of Orlinda, Lillian Blair of Springfield; brother, Barry (Connie) Fiscus of Jackson, Neb.; 12 grandchildren and one (girl) on the way.
