Laura Leigh Parsons Michaels, age 62, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at her residence after an extended illness.
Laura was a member of Colbert Heights Church of Christ. She was a devoted wife, supportive mother, and loyal friend. She supported her children in anything they wanted to do. To know Laura was to love her, and she will be missed tremendously by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Ray & Winni Faye (Sparks) Parsons.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 31 years, David Michaels; son, Josh Burks; daughter, Hannah Michaels (Dylan Mann); grandchildren of her heart, Garrett Counce, Cody Counce, Dillon Counce, Ann Marie Counce, Wyatt Counce; her special four-legged friend, CoCo; and a host of friends.
The visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Spry Memorial Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Knights of Pythias Cemetery. Bro. Jacob Walker will officiate the service.
The pallbearers will be Rodney Jones, Hunter Jones, Chris Hargett, Joe Hargett, Phillip Hargett, and Cody Counce.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Janet Wood, and Empatia Palliative Care for the love and care shown to our family.
