Mrs. Laura Jean Earnest, age 76, of Sumiton passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021 at her residence. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Walker Memory Gardens. Pastor Jack Thorne will officiate. Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Earnest; parents, Bert and Alma Sanders; and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Ginger Earnest Gillespie of Sumiton, AL; son, David Earnest of FL; granddaughter, Angela Marie Earnest of FL; grandson, McKinlee Samuel Gillespie of Jasper, AL; sister, Sue Lopeker of IN; brother, Andy Sanders of Jasper, AL; nieces, Carol Gilbreath and Brooke Gilbreath, both of Cordova, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews.
