Memorial Services for Mrs. Laura Franklin Moncrief, age 58 of Gadsden, will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. with Bro. Derrick Konkol, family and friends officiating. Burial will follow at Millerville Community Cemetery.

Mrs. Moncrief passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at her home. Born in Ashland, she spent most of her life in Clay County before moving to Gadsden for the last several years. She was a devoted house wife, and loved to craft with a passion. She was well known for her crafting abilities and love for classic Rock music, especially Led Zeppelin and her personal favorite, Steven Tyler. Mrs. Moncrief enjoyed taking trips to Hobby Lobby and the Dollar Store to always find more stuff to craft. She loved her children and grandchildren and spending time with them, as well as her loving dogs, Zeppelin and Lila. Mrs. Moncrief was a loving, selfless person and helped anyone that needed it. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Please pray for everyone.

She is survived by her husband of over 14 years, Billy Moncrief of Gadsden, her brother, Rick Pinkston (Kathy) of Lineville, two sons, John Franklin (Ashley) of Altoona and Justin Franklin of Rainbow City, her daughter, Ashley Truett (Blake) of Boaz, her step-son, Tony Moncrief (Marie) of Douglasville, GA, her step-daughter, Melissa Tatum of Hopehull, five grandchildren, Kaden, Emerson, Averi Joy, Michael and Travis, four nieces, Alicia King, Andrea Vinson, Katie and Beth Cleveland, along with a host of great-nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kermit and Frances Pinkston, her brother, Larry Pinkston and her sister, Anna Cleveland.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville.

Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville is in charge of the arrangements.
