Laura-Foster-1427382879Laura Foster, longtime resident of Chester County, was born on September 22, 1927 in Kingman, Kansas and went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the evening of March 25th, 2015 at the Chester County Nursing Home in Henderson, Tennessee. Ms. Foster was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, James A. Foster. Her parents, W. D. Bydus Taber and Elsie Ellen Snyder Taber, residents of Wichita Falls, Kansas along with her brother, Bydus H. Taber, and sister, Beatrice Jayne, of Kingman, Kansas, also preceded her in death. She leaves behind her aunt, Margaret Holinsworth, of Santa Clarita, California along with many treasured friends whom she considered as extended family members such as the Boyd Cupples Family of Finger, Tennessee and the Paul Blankenship Family of Munford, Tennessee. Although Ms. Foster had no biological children of her own, she accepted the role of parent to three daughters, Floydine McGee and Judy Vandorian of Jackson, Tennessee, and Kathy Roland of Pinson, Tennessee.

Many residents of the Henderson, Tennessee area will remember Ms. Foster as the “Massage Lady”. She began a career as a Licensed Practical Nurse and later became a Reflexologist for Body Works Massage of Jackson, Tennessee. Ms. Foster never hesitated to share her gift of healing hands with those around her. She also performed as a clown on many occasions for the Senior Citizens Center of Henderson, Tennessee, the nursing home where she lived, and her church, Friendship Baptist Church of Beech Bluff, Tennessee where she will be interned at a graveside service on Friday, March 27th, 2015 at 1:00pm.
