Laura Flack Eick, 74, walked into the arms of Jesus on September 16, 2024. Laura retired from Redstone Arsenal as a Logistics Specialist. She loved spending time with her family, reading, working on her many projects, Mississippi Mud Cake, and listening to music, especially if her nephews were singing.
Mrs. Eick died at Decatur Health & Rehab Center. She was born July 17, 1950, in Morgan County, to Richard Hughes Flack and Lucy Ida Thomas Flack. A Memorial Visitation service for Laura F. Eick, 74, will be Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Laura is survived by her husband of 45 years, Paul, sister, Myrle Childers, and brother in law WD Wray. She is also survived by her beloved caregivers and nieces, Sandy, Linda, Donna, and Candice. As well as a large host of other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends who held her dear.
Meeting Laura at Heaven’s gates were her parents, Richard “Shep” Flack and Lucy Ida Thomas. Six siblings – Nada Ruth Flack, Eloise East, Richard Flack, Jr., Judy Wray, Rex Flack, and Harlan Thomas. Greeting her first, was her best dog, Tippy.
She was a bright light in a dim world, and she will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
