Laura Elizabeth Colwell, 39, of Elkmont, Alabama passed away at her home Friday, July 21, 2023. Laura was born Tuesday, March 13, 1984 in Huntsville, Alabama to James Michael Lowther and Patricia Jane Milam Pope.
Laura was a member of Toney United Methodist Church and has lived in this area all her life. She was a beach goer that enjoyed swimming, sunsets, moons, and clouds. She was a sundrop fan that loved music and Facebook.
She is preceded in death by her father; grandmother, Ruth Henson Milan; daughter, Chrissy Nichole Colwell; and best friend , Theo Watson and .
She is survived by her husband, Gary Colwell; mother, Patricia Jane Milam Pope; sons, Carson Evan Potter and Josh Colwell; daughters, Hannah Elizabeth Potter and Emma Grace Potter; and sisters, Linda Lowther Ragland, Shannon Lowther Jtineant (Rodney), and Traci Pope Faller (Robert).
Services will be held Friday, July 28, 2023 at Toney United Methodist Church with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Charity Lane Cemetery, Hazel Green, Alabama
