LAUDERDALE COUNTY-On Thursday, January 12 Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a domestic disrpute call involving a son and his father at a home in the 3000 block of County Road 5 at around 8:20PM.
During the call to LCSO it was determined the son was armed with a knife. After deputies arrived that detained Matthew Oneal Goode, 41 in the yard of the home.
Deputies enter the home where they found Donald Edward Goode, 66 lying on the living room floor with what appeared to be a knife wound to the neck. According to investigators Goode was dead when they entered the home.
After initial investigation deputies arrested Matthew Goode charging him with murder. Goode was taken to the Lauderdale Detention Center. His bond has been set at $153,697.
