Latisha Shaunta “Tish” Hampton, age 40, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024, at her residence after a courageous battle with multiple sclerosis.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Carnelia Flippin officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Christ Tabernacle Church Cemetery in Williamsport, Tennessee. A visitation will also be held on Tuesday from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on March 20, 1983, in Maury County, Tennessee, Tish, was the daughter of Steve Sanford and Marlene Hampton Sanford. She was a 2002 graduate of Columbia Central High School where she sang in the chorus. Tish loved attending church and was a devoted member of Christ Tabernacle Church. She enjoyed watching football, especially the Kansas City Chiefs.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her grandmother, Ella (Larry) Wilson, aunts and uncles, Sondra James, Nancy (Eddie) Booker, James (Janita) Hampton, Michael (Heidi) Gordon, Roger Kittrell, Sheila Dooley Woods, and Godmothers, Charlene Orr and Shirley Robinson.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James Hampton and Addie Smith, uncle, Lee Albert Gordon, and aunts, Joana Gardner and Jeanetta Frierson.
