SHEFFIELD-Sheffield Police are investigating a murder that happened at around 1:00 AM on Wednesday morning at 1006 S. Nashville Avenue.
When police arrived on scene, there was a sixteen-year-old black female shot in the back between her shoulder blades. She was later transferred to Helen Keller Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. It is believed that the victim was not the intended target.
Officers and detectives collected evidence at the scene.
Detectives are in the process of interviewing witnesses. This is an ongoing investigation.
