Celebration of Life for Lassie Letson Hobbs, age 70, of Chalybeate, will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 23, 2024, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Shane Letson and Tim Sawyer officiating. Her family will receive friends for one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Midway Memorial Gardens.
Lassie passed peacefully in her sleep on February 20, 2024. She was born July 13, 1953, to the late Madison and Bertha (Kelley) Letson. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Virginia Hobbs; her parents; two brothers, Medford and Bill Letson; and two sisters, Zolar Fetz and Mamie Peppers.
Mrs. Hobbs is survived by her husband of 45 years, Billy “Hippie” Hobbs; two sons, Rick Daniel and Waylon Daniel (Channah); two daughters, Regina Goode (Greg) and Belinda Horton (Josh); two brothers, Willie Letson and Matt Letson (Carolyn); three sisters, Vernell Shaffer (Bob), Sylvia Turner, and Flora Bradford (James); eight grandchildren, Brittney Currington (Scottie), Kayla Dean, Noah Daniel, Destiny Goode, Kanasta Daniel, Seth Daniel, Madison Horton, and Brodie Horton; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
