Larry Wayne Cook, age 69 of Huntland, passed away on August 24, 2020. Larry was born in Lincoln County on Jul 16, 1951 to the late B.O. and Savannah Jean Cook. In 1970 he married his true love, his late wife Barbara Cook. He worked as a carpenter by trade his entire life, and was also a farmer at heart who had a soft spot for all animals. He was a beloved Papaw to his girls, and he loved cheering on the Huntland Hornets and Tennessee Vols. Larry was a lifelong member of the Huntland Community and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents and his wife, he is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Cook; sister, Maxine Brazelton; and Brother-in-law, Ernest Brazelton. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Bruce) Williams of Huntland; granddaughter, Sara (Joseph) Johnson of Huntland; great granddaughter, Caroline Johnson of Huntland; brothers, Gerald Ray (Lucy) Cook of Winchester, George Kay (Carolyn) Cook of Huntland; sister, Brenda Wilder of North Carolina; sister-in-law, Mary Cook May of Huntland; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 28, 2020 in the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Lee Cemetery in Huntland.
