Larry Wayne Coker, 74 of Arab passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024. Larry was born April 8, 1950, the son of James Lewis Coker and Jewel Doyle Coker. He was a graduate of Arab High School, class of 1968 and attended Jacksonville State University for two years. He was a retired truck driver, last working for Osborn Transportation. He was currently attending Hebron Church of Christ. Larry had a love for music, playing several different instruments, along with singing.
He is survived by his girlfriend: Linda Rainwater; son: Jason Coker; sister: Kathy Bryant; brother-in-law: James Nix; granddaughters: Haley, Jordan and Allie; nephew: Scott Bryant and nieces: Christy Nix and Amy Nix. He was preceded by his parents: Lewis and Jewel Coker; son: Allen Coker and sister: Nancy Coker Nix.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Gober Funeral Chapel with C.J. Mooney officiating and eulogy by Mickey Hunt. The burial will be in Brashier’s Chapel Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel directing. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
