The celebration of life for Larry Roberts, 66, of Priceville, will be Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at Roselawn Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with Dr. Jackie Kay officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8.
Larry passed into the hands of our Savior on Saturday, September 21, 2013. He was born on November 26, 1946, to Joe Roberts and the late Martha Roberts. He was the beloved husband of Pat Roberts and the father of Holly Benson (Brian) of Florence, Cindy Smith (David) of Moulton, and Joe Roberts of Hillsboro. He was grandfather to Hannah Benson, Anna-Kate Benson, Sophie Benson, Emma Smith, Payton Roberts, Gage Roberts and Nash Roberts.
Larry was a retired employee of Champion Paper. He was a devoted servant to his Lord and Savior at Central Park through several ministries. Larry was loved by his family and friends. It was his greatest desire that all would know his Savior.
Pallbearers will be Steve Stovall, David Whitten, Bobby Graves, James Owen, Robert Bryant and Don Fields.
Honorary pallbearers will be all those men that he has loved and served with throughout his years at Central Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Central Park Baptist Church, 2020 Westmead St. SW Decatur.
