Larry “Parson” Owens, age 76, of Decatur AL., passed away at his residence on May 15, 2023.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Irene Owens, and brother, Charles Owens.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Owens, two daughters, Michelle Owens, Holly Murphy (Clint), six grandchildren, Zach Mangum, Joe Mangum, Alyssa Owens, Harlow Murphy, Melrose Murphy, Dove Murphy, and a great grandchild, Helena Mangum.
He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran and a diehard Alabama Fan, Roll Tide! He worked at GE for 17 years.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a caring man.
A private service will be held by the family at a later date.
In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made at St. Jude’s or Children’s Hospital.
