Larry Leon Stowe was born May 17, 1943, in Lauderdale County to Arvil & Ethel M Stowe. He passed away Dec 27, 2023 at his home in Colbert Heights, Alabama after a short illness.

He attended Florence City Schools and Sheffield City Schools. Following his school years, he served in the Army National Guard for approximately seven years. After retiring from Reynolds Metals, he became an owner/operator in his own trucking company at which he also retired. He attended First Baptist of Colbert Heights.

Preceding him in death were his parents and grandparents.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Janette Brown Stowe; children, Cindy S Fleming (Johnnie), Jeffrey Stowe (Melissa), Wendy S Willis (Brandyn); grandchildren, Mandy (Mikee), Stephanie Cook (Ross), Ashley Potts (Jeff), Dakota Stowe (Maranda), Bradley Stowe (Aleah), Peyton Tyra, Sarah, Ike, Lee, Maggie, Brantley, Brooke, Ashlee; and great grandchildren, Olivia, Austin, Devin, Bella, Brayden, Johanna, Atlas, Baylee, Truvy and Eli.

Per his wishes, following cremation he will be interred at Colbert Memorial Gardens. No visitation or services are planned at this time.
