Larry Leon Holley age 70 passed away November 13, 2018 at his home.
He was born December 30, 1947 in Jackson, TN the son of Clara Mae Cherry Holley and the late Raymond Leon Holley. He grew up in the Cabo Community of Chester County. He attended Tool & Die Institute of Palestine, IL and received his certificate in 1969. He married Susie Lou Jaco, July 15, 1966. They returned to Chester County in 1974. He and Susie opened L & S Precision Tool in Henderson in 1976. They operated the business for twenty years. He was a member of the Old Path Baptist Church. He began preaching for the Hinkle Baptist Church in Sardis, TN in 2001. In 2004 he began serving Old Path Baptist Church in Cabo and had served there the last fourteen years as Pastor.
He loved preaching and raising black angus cows. He also enjoyed fishing and was involved with the Enville Community Club, having served two terms as president.
Mr. Holley is survived by his wife, Susie Lou Jaco Holley of Enville; two daughters, Lisa L. Goodrich (Joe M.) of Medina, TN and Sherry L. Smith (Randy) of Enville, TN; his mother, Clara Mae Cherry Holley of Enville; three grandchildren, Ashley N. Austin (Daniel), Melissa D. Goodrich and Michael A. Goodrich and mother-in-law, Della Mixon of Enville.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Ricky Tedford officiating. Burial will follow in Cabo Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday.
