Larry Joe Upton, 74, died Sunday, October 6, 2013, at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice. He was born February 7, 1939, in Vina, Alabama, to Joseph Lee “Joe” and Annie Lively Upton. He was owner and operator of Upton’s Small Engine Repair for many years and was a born again Christian. He enjoyed deep sea fishing.
Memorial services will be at 1 p. m. Friday, October 11, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Andy Black officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Upton; two sons, Larry Joe Upton, Jr. (Sherry) of Starkville and Matt Upton (Regina) of Fulton; two step-daughters, Cindy Franks of California and Deedee Akridge of Fulton; one sister, Leola Peterson of Hamilton, Ala.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by twelve brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be from 11 a. m. until service time Friday at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
