Funeral service for Larry Joe Cartee, age 68, of Trinity, will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jamie Hooper and Rev. Ken Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Moulton City Cemetery.
Mr. Cartee, who died Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at his residence, was born December 24, 1954, in Alabamas to Paul Russell Cartee and Erdean Terry Cartee. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Aimee Cartee; brother, Amos Cartee; and sister, Betty Crum. Mr. Cartee was a self-employed heavy equipment operator.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Tammie Jarrett Cartee; daughter, Angela Taylor (Wesley); three sisters, Anita Barnes (Ricky), Trinda Hill, and Rita Theodorou; four grandchildren, Brianna Cartee Dobbins (Travis), Blake Taylor (Hannah), Baylee Saint (Luke Terry), and Carla Brooke Reding; and four great-grandchildren, Willow Dobbins, Brayson Dobbins, Harley Dobbins, and Grayson Taylor.
Pallbearers will be Blake Taylor, Travis Dobbins, Antonio Hernandez, Jason Cartee, Noah Jarrett, and Zander Cartee.
Honorary pallbearer will be Lamar Sparkman.
The family would like to express their special thanks to Southern Care Hospice for their compassionate care of Mr. Cartee.
