Larry Jay Owens, age 49 of Winchester, unexpectedly left the walks of this life on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. A native of Franklin County, he was born on March 17, 1975, in Winchester to Larry and Debbie Owens. Growing up, Larry Jay enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and going camping. Despite many difficulties throughout his life, he was a loving and caring son, brother, uncle, and friend. Larry Jay loved animals, especially Hank, his dog and best friend. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Orien and Dora Owens and James and Minnie Donalson. In addition to his parents, Larry and Debbie Owens, Larry Jay is survived by his sisters, Dora (Carl) Robinson and Crystal Owens; nieces and nephews, Alena (Cory) Gardner, Jamie Robinson, Chelsey (Jordan) Ford, Tyler Cornett, Jadyn (Hunter) Perry, and Destany Cornett; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be from 11am-1pm on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro.
