Larry Jackson, 73, of Anderson, passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. Larry was a graduate of West Limestone High School and Florence State University. After forty-two and a half years of service as a rural carrier in Anderson, he retired in November of 2019.
Visitation for Mr. Jackson will be at Rogersville Funeral Home on Saturday, September 16th from 4-6 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Sunday, September 17th at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery. David Cox and Roger Hamlin will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Clint Jackson, Bryan Sinyard, Nickey Bailey, Will Yarbrough, Mickey Bailey and Danny Springer.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Betty Jackson; grandparents, Vaud and Floy Williams, Spurge and Verna Jackson; sister, Melissa Germann. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Melissa Williams Jackson; daughters, Sally (Sean) Davis, Laura (Will) Taylor; grandchildren, Eliza Kate and Jackson; brother, Dickie (Dianna) Jackson; sisters, Cindy (Mitchel) Amerson, Leann Jackson; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
