Obituary of Larry Henry WilhiteLarry H. Wilhite, 90 of Decatur, AL passed away on October 6,2024. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024, from 12:30 to 2:00 PM at Trinity Methodist Church with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2 PM with Rev. Greg Burnett, and Rev. Andrew Wenzler officiating. He will be laid to rest at Decatur City Cemetery.

Larry Wilhite is survived by his wife of 49 years Gladys Wilhite, two daughters Tami Glenn (Tom), of Moulton, AL. Dana K. Wilhite of Dawsonville GA two stepdaughters Kim Wenzler (Andy) of Decatur Al, Debbie Mitchell (Jack) of Decatur AL., grandchildren Thomas Glenn (Brianna), Taylor Glenn (Kaci) of Moulton, Will Mitchell (Emily) of Decatur, Erin Phillips (Austin) of Murfreesboro TN, Andrew Wenzler (Peyton) of Birmingham AL, Haley Odom (Andrew) of Opelika AL, 12 great grandchildren, two sisters Dorothy Duke, Joan Duke (Frank), and many nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents Calvin and Zella Mae Wilhite, four sisters Maebelle Apel, Frances Nearen, Marie Goff, and Freda Perry.

Larry served in the United States Marine Corp for three years as an Aircraft Electrician. He then went into business with his brother-in-law. He owned and operated Triangle Electrical Co. He served as a Mason and Shriner for many years. He was also a boy scout leader and active in his community and church.

Those serving as pallbearers will be Thomas Glenn, Taylor Glenn, Andrew Odom, Will Mitchell, Austin Phillips, Tony Cox.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Hospice of the Valley PO Box 2745 Decatur, Al 35602, or Trinity Methodist Church 795 North Seneca Dr. Trinity, Al 35673.
