Larry Gene South, 74, of Burnsville, Mississippi, died on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home. Larry loved his family. His great-nieces and great-nephew were the light of his life, and he enjoyed spending time with them and playing with them any chance he got. He liked to sing gospel music, and even wrote two songs when he was younger, “Traveling Towards Heaven” and “I’m Waiting the Call”. Larry is survived by his sister, Margaret Clark; his nephews, Freddie Clark, Jr. (Jennifer) and Bradley Clark (Ashley); his great-nieces, Avari and Callie Clark; his great-nephew, James Clark; and a host of other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, JT and Lylath South; his brother, Tommy South; and his brother-in-law, Freddie Clark, Sr. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at New Lebanon Freewill Baptist Church. Visitation will continue on Friday, April 12, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., at New Lebanon Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral Services will follow on Friday at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Bro. Jack Whitley and Bro. Terry Booker. Burial will be in New Lebanon Cemetery.
