Larry Gene Cole, 65, of Tuscumbia died Monday, August 10, 2015. Visitation will be Thursday, August 13, from 12 – 2p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be at 2p.m. Brother Bill Cotton will be officiating. Interment will be at Shoals Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Cole was a member of Spring Valley Baptist Church and Operator Engineer’s Local #320. He is preceded in death by his father, Calvin Cole; mother, Aline Grissom Moore; stepfather, J.W. Moore; brothers, Wayne Moore and Eugene Cole.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Cole, Tuscumbia; sons, Jason Cole (Jennifer), Tuscumbia and David Forrest, Florence; daughter, Chandra E. Claunch (Todd), Tuscumbia; brothers, Bill Moore, Sheffield and Gene Moore, Muscle Shoals; sisters, Debbie Evans and Kaye Hester, both of Tuscumbia; grandchildren, Danielle Cole, Cole Claunch, Camryn Claunch, Palace Cole; great-grandchild, Kingston Watson; a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jason Cole, Shawn Malone, Hoyt Mayfield, John Thomas Futrell, Keith Cole and Michael Cole.
