Larry "Flip" WilsonLarry “Flip” Wilson, born November 11, 1958, of Sheffield, Alabama, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023, surrounded by family.

Larry was always a wild, free spirit that loved his family and friends immensely. Larry had a heart of gold and he wore his heart on his sleeve.

Growing up in Cleveland, Ohio, Larry enjoyed the hustle and bustle of the city life. Hanging out with his brothers, listening to his favorite rock n roll, drinking beer, fishing, baseball, and having fun! He enjoyed life to it’s fullest. Larry has several sisters that were always there to pick him up when he’d fall and give him lots of love and nurturing.

After moving to Sheffield, Larry continued enjoying his zest for life along side his better half of 32 years, Annette, he gave his heart to the Lord, but in the end he truly loved just being “Pawpaw”.

Larry is survived by his better half, Annette Larison, Sheffield; daughter, Angie DeCaprio, Columbia Station, Ohio; stepsons, Jeremy Johnson (Laura), Joe Larison (Amy), and Matthew Johnson; grandchildren, Carly, Louis, Colton, Delaney, Danielle ,Brianna, Katie Grace, Traynor, and Annlee; brothers, Claude (Nancy), Steve (Peggy), John (Betty), and Ken (Ann); sisters, Connie Saunders, Peggy Wolford, and Kathy Brewer (Bo); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Ruthie Wilson; brother, Sonny Brackin; sister, Dorothy Darovich; niece, Kelly Darovich; and nephew, Jim Darovich.

A celebration of life will be determined at a later date.
