Larry E. King, age 66, of Lexington, Ala., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at UAB Hospital after an extended illness. He was a native of Lauderdale County, Ala., an Operator at Consolidated Aluminum and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at 1 p.m. He will lie in state from noon to 1 p.m. at the church. Jackie Kay, Jason Vinson and Stanley Hargett will be officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at Loretto Memorial Chapel.
Survivors are
wife, Shirley Chambers King, Lexington, Ala.;
one son, Larry Glenn King and wife, Nancy, Lexington, Ala.;
one daughter, Libby Head and husband, Eddie, Lexington, Ala.;
one brother, Ronnie King and wife Betty Jo, Lexington, Ala.;
two grandchildren, Dusty King and Baylee Head.
Preceded in death by
parents, Arnold “Bud” and Elizabeth Lash King;
brother, Harlon Glenn King.
Pallbearers will be Sammy Lash, Ricky Richardson, Kerry Lash, Rex Gist,
Colt Balentine, Jeffrey Burbank andHarlon Lash
Loretto Memorial Chapel
is in charge of all arrangements.
