Larry E. Green, age 87 of Jackson, passed away on November 16, 2021 in Jackson.
Larry was born on June 16, 1934 in Madison County, TN to the late Irvin and Sylvia Austin Green. He served his country in the United States Naval Reserves for 35 years finishing with the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He taught electronics at Newbern Technical School until his retirement in 2002. Larry was a member of Bemis United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Elizabeth Steward and Irvin Green, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dot Green; son, Randall E. Green (Tanya); two grandchildren, Alex Green (Emily) and Katie Green; two great grandchildren, Vera and Joey; his sister, Doris Landers; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Walter German officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.
