Larry David Owens age 64 of Athens, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Owens was born July 23, 1948 in Fayette, AL to Lon Jay Owens and Maurine Fowler.
Memorial Service for Mr. Owens are Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. John Taggert officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, June 1, 2013 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was a member of Athens Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Becky Owens; son, David Owens and wife Terrie; daughters, Melanie Shackleford and husband Jeremiah and Lauren Hall and husband Josh; mother, Maurine Fowler; brothers, Tom Gibbs, Wyman Gibbs and Jeffery Gibbs; sisters, Portia Goss, Ayla Hixson and Renee Cobb; grandchildren, Averi Owens, Dawson Owens, Casey Lee Shackleford, Tyler Shackleford, Blaire Hall and Cannon Hall.
