Larry Dale Brewer, a native of Jackson County, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. He graduated from Scottsboro High School in 1972. He served in the United States Marine Corps and retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority as nuclear reactor operator. Larry Brewer served several years as a consultant in the nuclear industry in several locations around the U.S. and overseas.
In his free time, Larry enjoyed playing Chess and pool.
Larry rededicated his life to the Lord Jesus Christ and was excited about seeing his earthly and heavenly father.
He is survived by his daughters, Heather (Christopher) Crafton, Robin Howard; grandson, Nicholas Howard; mother, Magdalene Brewer; sisters, Delores Brewer, Ginger (David) Brewer; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by his father, Howard Brewer.
Graveside and burial services will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cedar Hill Cemetery with Rev. Matt Beaty officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 11, 2024 at from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home.
