Larry (Crow) G. Cromeans, 76, went home to be with Jesus on Monday, February 19, 2024. He was born October 26, 1947 to the late Flavious Cromeans and the late Dorothy Hazel Wood Cromeans. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. He attended Fairview Jr. High and graduated from IAHS. He was a butcher for many years at Walker’s Big Star, Belmont Big Star, and Mantachie Foods. He worked for Bond Paving and APAC before becoming the Itawamba County Road Manager. Crow had many hobbies including listening to and attending Rhonda Vincent concerts, cooking for church gatherings, cooking for Food City with his friend Duncan, traveling with Wonda and Kella Brooke, and attending horse shows with Keitha and Wesley, and cooking ribs and BBQ. He had many titles; husband, dad, brother, uncle, and friend but the one he loved most was being known as Papaw Crow to Kella Brooke and many of her friends. He never met a stranger and was loved by everyone who knew him. He also loved his fur babies, Bo Jack and Samson.
Services will be 4:00 pm on Thursday February 22, 2024, at Senter Funeral Directors with Bro. Gene O’Brian and Bro. Robert Wood officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 to 9:00 pm on Wednesday February 21, 2024, at Senter Funeral Directors. Burial will be at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Wonda Cromeans; daughter, Keitha (Wesley) O’Brian; granddaughter, Kella Brooke O’Brian; sisters, Sandra Cromeans and Brenda (Stevie) Jones; nieces: Stacy (Kelly Wayne) Knight, Carrie (Justin) Guntharp, Penni (Jimmy Dale) Sartin; nephew, Lance (Michele) Jones; great-nieces: Audri (Brian Brazil) Sartin, Addie Belle Knight, Ivy Koon, Lexi Beth Sartin; great-nephews: Hunter Parker, Cooper Parker, Carsten Guntharp, Deacon Knight, Braxton Guntharp, Jaxon Sartin; many other close family and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Gus and Ivy Wood, grandparents, Mark and Carrie Cromeans; father-in-law, James Dennis (J.D.)Tucker, mother-in-law, Susie Mae Wilemon,
Pallbearers will be his nephews and great nephews
Honorary pallbearers are Supervisors and Itawamba County Road Department, Doug Horn, Bear Horn, Gary Duncan, Dr. David Cole, Jerry Bonds, Brad Thomas, and men of Fairview Baptist Church
