Lanny Wayne Williams, 74, of Elkmont, Alabama passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at his home.
Mr. Williams has lived in the Elkmont community for a majority of his life and was of the Christian faith. He attended the Church of the Living God and enjoyed spending his free time golfing, watching the Atlanta Braves, going to yard sales, and spending time with his family.
Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his parents, Oakley Lee Williams and Mildred Irene Cook Williams, as well as one brother, Danny Lee Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Willard Williams, three sons; Rocky (Julie) Williams, Johnny Williams, and Lanny (Tracy) Williams, three nephews, Rodney (Jenny) Todd, Bodie (Ginger) Todd, and Cherokee (Tina) Todd, four daughters; Stephanie (Larry) Taylor, Kim Williams, Misti (Mark) Evans, and Brandi Williams, one sister, Sandi (Doug) Colwell, nine grandchildren; Beau, Krystal, Wesley, Zach, Luke, Kasey, Connor, Madison, and Layne, twelve great grandchildren, a host of additional nieces and nephews, as well as his special friend, Billy Clem.
There will be a visitation held for Mr. Williams at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A Chapel Service is scheduled for the following day, Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home with service time beginning at 2:00 PM. Bro. Shawn Faulk will officiate. Burial will follow at Gatlin Cemetery.
