Mrs. Jones died on Monday, June 9, 2014 at her residence. She was born Wednesday, August 16, 1933, in Virginia to James Landrun Mays and Nellie Byrd Griggs Mays. She was formerly a Teacher for the Hartselle City School System. She asked that no services be held for her, but that her “Thanks” be expressed to her friends and neighbors for the many acts of kindness over the years.
