A memorial service for Lance Duane Upton, 51 of Anniston, will be held at 2pm, Friday, March 4th, at New Liberty Baptist Church, 5353 New Liberty Road, Jacksonville, Alabama, with Rev. Jay Penton officiating.
Mr. Upton passed way on February 23, 2022 at the UAB BMT Unit in Birmingham, Alabama.
He was born on August 9, 1970 to Gary and Patricia Walker Upton. He graduated from Pleasant Valley High School, Class of 1988. He owned and operated D&W Installs where he always enjoyed his work and formed great friendships with his customers. He was an avid music lover, not only playing his guitars and the piano. He was a Star Wars enthusiast, and one who was a master of riddle and rhymes, he love being outside with nature and taking pictures of Wood Peckers.
Surviving him are his wife, Tara Upton; children: Dalton Willis, Mackenzie Willis; his father Gary Upton; sister, Dana (Jay) Penton; niece, Delaney Penton; nephew, Joey Penton; father and mother-in-law, Tommy and Lynn Johnson; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Upton; grandparents, Charlie and Bertie Upton, and Robert and Hazel Walker.
