Lana Loconto, 74, of Gadsden passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Collier-Butler Funeral Chapel with Rev. Chris Terrell officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 am until the hour of service at the funeral home Tuesday. Interment will be at Crestwood Cemetery with graveside committal service by Rev. Darrell Wallace.
Lana was born in Gadsden on March 7, 1949 to Carmine Louis Loconto and Winona Juliaett Loconto, who both preceded her in death.
She was an avid Auburn football fan, Bicyclist, golfer and painter. Lana was an excellent artist. She was a member of White Springs Baptist Church and Friends in Faith Sunday School Class.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Loconto.
Survivors include her daughter, Misti (Jeff) Fairchild; grandchildren, Blake Fairchild, Sydney Fairchild, Mackenzie Kate Fairchild and Areli Quintanilla; brother, Dana Loconto; niece, Mandi Loconto; nephew, Dalton Loconto; great niece, Emory Loconto; special pet, Bear; special friends, Jimmy Abel, Sammee Dabbs, Patti Mackey, Karen Benson, Linda Davis, Nancy Loconto and Nancy McCorkle.
Pallbearers will be Jason Parker, Bo Parker, Luke Parker, Dalton Loconto, Rusty Freeman, Dusty Freeman and Jonathan Lankford.
The family extends special thanks to the palliative care unit at UAB Hospital and Dr. Deborah Reiland.
