Lambert “Butch” Hamm, Jr., age 72 of Tuscumbia was born June 28, 1943 and died April 5, 2016. His family will receive friends Friday 11a.m.-1 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bill Bedsole and Rev. Randy Burbank officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.
Butch was an entrepreneur, having been a business owner in Sheffield for more than thirty years. He retired in 2014 as the owner of “Butch’s Auto Repair and Towing”. He loved people and made many friends over the years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his oldest great-grandson, Kevin Rivas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lambert and Essie Mae Hamm; brother, Phillip Hamm; and sister, Martha Scott.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Jane Hamm; two children, Tammy Robbins (Robbie), Randy Hamm (Terri); three grandchildren, Kayla Hamm, Collin Hamm and Randy Hamm, Jr.; sisters, Linda Holden, Judy Tidwell and Renee Hamm; brothers, Sammie Hamm, Wayne Hamm, Greg Hamm, Gerald Hamm, Daniel Hamm, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family expresses special thanks to Dr. Patel of Northwest Cancer Center, Dr. Heaton and the nurses at ECM Coronary Care Unit and to Dr. Ronald McCoy and staff for their loving care for over thirty years.
