Lamar New, age 77, of Leoma, TN passed away Saturday, January 03, 2015 at Countryside Healthcare in Lawrenceburg, TN. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from Dura Automotive, and a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. Mr. New served his country honoraby in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold New; his mother, Ruth Udell Stephenson Dooley; one brother, Laffy New; and one sister, Ruth Owens.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, January 05, 2015 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 06, 2015, with Tim Scott officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN with full military honors.
